Kelli and I decided the time was right to buy a house. We had two things figured out: the tax incentive was appealing and the housing market was lucrative. As admitted amateurs we began by poking through some open houses on the weekends. Our independent search took us through a beautiful home in Saint Paul one particular day. While walking through, we were graciously and casually approached by a very genuine realtor hosting the open house. He wasn't pushy, he didn't ask a bazillion questions, but he asked the right questions. Shane was a great realtor! I had a brief, but bad experience with someone else when I set out to look for houses and was disappointed and discouraged.  But when I found Shane's name, he looked like he knew what he was talking about and that he liked to have fun in the process. I knew right away after meeting him that he was the right realtor for me. During our 2 month long search, Shane always listened to what I said about each house, and selected great houses to look at. He was understanding of my limited budget, and walked me through the process of buying a home for the first time.

I found my house one day when I was looking online. As I was opening my email to send it to Shane, I saw that he had sent me an email. When I opened it, there was the same house, that he said I would love! Talk about knowing your client! We went and looked at the house the next day, and two days later, it was mine!
