Geeky, enthusiastic, and forever an optimist. Andrew wants to know what you love about your home, or what kind of home you’d love, and won’t rest until you reach your goal.
Growing up in Anoka, Andrew loved to walk everywhere and explore the old buildings in town. That fascination continues after moving to Minneapolis a decade ago and becoming a fully-fledged urbanist geek. You’ll often find Andrew out walking a dozen blocks through the city just to learn what the neighborhood feels like.
Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Andrew worked in computer technical support and loves finding the best possible outcome for customers. He’s a great listener, always wanting to know more about your dreams, and answer all the questions you have about buying or selling a home. His optimism and enthusiasm helps make the whole real estate process fun, enlightening, and enjoyable.
What makes Andrew odd?
Andrew loves trains and will ride the Blue & Green line light rail just for fun. His retirement plan is to volunteer running the Como-Harriet streetcar and give tours all day!
Andrew Balfour was key to making my daughter comfortable with the search process for her very first house. It took a while for her to understand the realities of the market versus her “must haves”. During several challenging showings, Andrew ran interference to manage an unexpected resident in the basement of one home and and in another case when an empty house apparently was being used as a sweatshop – definitely not empty!
We both recommend Andrew and would use him again. He always had a smile, an attitude that he had all the time in the world for us, and he even brought hot coffee to share on some rather cold days. When the deal was “in the bag” and AFTER all contingencies were lifted, he still worked hard with the city to fix an outstanding permit we discovered. Kudos!
